Meet Lacy! She and her brother were both abandoned in crates without food or water, which one might imagine could make a dog trauma-reactive or extremely fearful. Not so in either dog's case. Lacey is a total sugar booger, brimming over with rambunctious love.

She does jump up for attention and hugs, so a home with only older children may be best.

Lacey is definitely full of puppy antics. With apparently zero training prior to arrival, Lacey is basically a circus on the end of her leash, but she doesn't pull very hard and is generally manageable. She doesn't have a malicious bone in her body, and she does want to please. With that and her excitement for all the treats, which she takes with a gentle mouth, she has the potential to learn fast. She has already learned to sit nicely for, like, a second or two.

The beautiful Malinois coloring, with her overall coat like warm, buttery caramel and her fashionable black mask, makes for a very purty girl. We aren't sure if her ears will finally settle on both being half-mast, or if one side will stand up and the other floop over, or if both will end up standing tall. Regardless, they're pretty cute.

Lacey is excited to meet all the other dogs at the shelter, showering them with kisses and bowing invitations to play. She happily meets new people, as well, and is very affectionate with everyone. In fact, she'll climb into your lap, whether she's invited or not, and gaze lovingly into your eyes.

This very promising pupper, chock full o' beans and love, has the potential to be a wonderful companion for an active person or family.

Lacey will need to be spayed before going home with you.

She keeps her inner kennel clean; though we can't make guarantees, she may be easy to house train.

We do not have information on her attitude toward cats at this time.

As always, a meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home.
