Meet Chip!

Some dogs are dignified. Chip is... occasionally. More often, he's goofy, earnest, joyful, and bouncy. But no matter what kind of day he's having, Chip is always happy!

This 3-year-old, 30-pound Beagle mix approaches life with the enthusiasm of a toddler after two cookies. He loves racing around the yard with a stuffed toy, cuddling beside his people, and sharing the bed. He even balances on his back legs to politely ask for attention — and that soulful “Please?” face is pretty hard to resist.

Chip is doing well with leash walking and potty training and uses a dog door. He's learning about the crate and happily eats his meals in it.

He does have a couple of quirks. Chip considers himself the Assistant Kitchen Inspector, so food and anything chewable need to stay out of reach. He's also an escape artist who will take advantage of an open door or gate, so his family will need to be diligent about keeping him safely contained.

Chip is a wonderful mix of sweet, silly, cuddly, stubborn, and completely lovable. Give him affection, a few tiny stuffies, some structure, and a warm spot on the bed, and he'll give you a reason to laugh every day.

Chip is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly prevention.

Fostered in southeast Nebraska, about halfway between Omaha and Kansas City. His foster family may be willing to travel for the right meet-and-greet.
