Trooper is a smart, active boy who thrives with structure, consistency, and clear boundaries. He is potty trained and loves walks, learning, fetch, tug, obedience, tricks, and scentwork.
Trooper can live with other dogs, but he needs a home that understands his boundaries. He enjoys playing, being near other dogs, and even snuggling with them, but when he is resting or enjoying a toy, he wants to be left alone. He should have separate feeding areas and would not be a good fit for a home where dogs are expected to share everything.
He can become confrontational with other dogs in highly exciting situations, especially when dogs are crowded together at doorways. He does well with people and has not shown resource guarding toward them.
Trooper is comfortable in a crate and can be crated when his people are away. He may be vocal but does not panic. He thrives with rules and continued training and could regress without structure.
Trooper would do best in an adult-only, experienced home committed to maintaining his training and respecting his boundaries.
