Meet Prosciutto!
A little guy with a big heart and a whole lot of love waiting to give! He is 20 lbs and estimated to be about 1 year old.
Say hello to Prosciutto, an adorable young pup who's ready to turn the page and start his next chapter with a family of his very own! At approximately one year old and weighing around 20 pounds, he's a wonderful size for someone looking for a smaller companion to share life's everyday adventures.
Prosciutto is still young, with so much left to discover about the world. He's looking for a family who will give him the time, patience, and encouragement he needs to settle into his new life and blossom into the wonderful companion he's meant to be.
Getting to know Prosciutto
Prosciutto enjoys the company of other dogs, which is great news for anyone hoping to welcome a canine-friendly companion into their home! With thoughtful introductions and compatible personalities, he may enjoy having a four-legged friend to play with and keep him company.
What about cats? Prosciutto did well with a cat at the veterinary clinic, so a home with a feline friend may be a possibility! Every cat and dog pairing is different, of course, and slow introductions with careful supervision will help everyone adjust safely.
We don't yet have information about how Prosciutto interacts with children. As we learn more about his personality and preferences, we'll be able to offer better guidance about the type of home that would suit him best.
A little about his health
Prosciutto has tested positive for Ehrlichia, a tick-borne infection, and is currently receiving medication. His care team is addressing this as part of his journey toward a healthier future. His neuter surgery and vaccine boosters are scheduled for October 21.
His forever home is out there!
Prosciutto is at an exciting stage of life, ready for the opportunity to experience the comfort and security of a loving home. He deserves a cozy place to sleep, regular meals, walks filled with interesting smells, playtime with friends, and people who will make him part of the family.
Because we're still getting to know him, some details about Prosciutto's personality and ideal home remain a work in progress. As we learn more about this sweet boy, we'll update his profile.
