DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Dia! Dia's story began at a crowded shelter in Alabama, where adoptions move slowly and the odds weren't in her favor. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in to give this deserving girl a second chance — and now she's ready to find her forever people. Could that be you?
Our best guess is that Dia is a Beagle / Aussie / Collie mix who will likely weigh around 35–40 pounds fully grown. But what we know for certain? She is a complete sweetheart.
Dia loves being around other dogs and is happiest when she has furry friends to play with — but she'll also happily settle in for cozy snuggles and some one-on-one love. At her young age, she's in the perfect window for training and socialization, ready to soak up everything you teach her.
This girl has been through a lot, and she deserves a soft place to land. Apply today and change Babe Dia's life forever!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
