Pup Bittie's journey started in a very full shelter in Alabama, but his story is already turning around. Now safe with K-9 Lifesavers, this handsome boy is ready to find the forever home he has been waiting for. Could it be with you? Bittie is a stunning Plott Hound / Mountain Cur mix with a beautiful brindle coat that turns heads wherever he goes. But his good looks are just the beginning. Bittie has a playful, affectionate personality and absolutely loves attention from his people. He's the kind of dog who greets you with a wagging tail and plenty of happy kisses. He also gets along great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. With his athletic build and energetic spirit, Bittie would make a fantastic hiking, jogging, or adventure partner for someone who enjoys the outdoors. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
