If the pictures of this beautiful lady did not grab your attention, her unique name will certainly spark your interest.

This is Dublyn, a gorgeous 9-year-old female.

Dublyn’s favourite activity is going for walks. She walks very well on a leash. If people pass her on the walk, she will ask for pets and attention. She also loves water. If you spray the garden hose, she will attack the water. Dublyn thinks this is great fun.

Dublyn is a herding dog. If the resident dogs are playing or misbehaving, her herding instincts kick in, and she puts a stop to the behaviour. She needs both physical activity and brain stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. She enjoys puzzle games where she needs to work at finding her treats. Dublyn might do well with activities such as agility or scent detection.

Dublyn knows all her basic commands: her name, come, sit, down, lay down and drop it. I’m most impressed with her ability to ‘drop it’. She dropped a piece of pizza that she found in the grass on command. That’s a tough thing to give up!

Dublyn spends most of her day in her foster mom’s office while she works. During the evening, she will lay on the floor close to her humans. She will ask for cuddles or a good belly or bum scratch. For bedtime, she usually sleeps on the floor beside the bed or in a dog bed but also loves a good snuggle in the human’s bed.

Dublyn is a loyal companion. She will follow you wherever you go. She would do best in a home with people who work from home or who are retired as she has some separation anxiety. She would also prefer to be in a home without other dogs.

Dublyn does have some age-related health issues that we are happy to discuss with you if you are interested in learning more about her.

If Dublyn seems to be the right fit for you, please submit an application for adoption.

Adoption fee is $200. She is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.
