DESCRIPTION
We just love Dude and hope to find him an amazing home. He was born and raised on a farm in AL- he was good with all animals on the farm until one day his owner brought home some baby goats and he chased them. He didn't hurt them, just chased them as he is a herding dog, and his owner got mad and threatened to shoot him. The owner's daughter was understandably distraught and reached out to our rescue partner's to get him to safety. Duke is about five years old and is a compact 45 lbs. He's a super sweet guy who deserves to find a home that will truly be forever. He is currently in AL but we hope to bring him to Maine for our June transport.
If you think you might be interested in adopting Dude or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events.
