Duke - Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever Dog for Adoption in Woolwich, Maine

Duke has such a sad story but we are really hoping to turn things around for him. This sweet guy is estimated to be about 1.5 years old and we believe he is a Lab/Golden mix. He came into rescue when his family fell on hard times and ended up chaining him outside where he was starving and mistreated. Some caring neighbors helped connect him with our rescue partners in AL and he's now on the mend. Our partners say that he is a really sweet and gentle boy. He is dog and kid friendly and will likely make a great family pup. He's calm, gentle enough for kids, and very loving. He so deserves to have his world turned around in the best way- a loving, forever home where his belly is always full and he gets to live inside like the valued family member that he should be. He is currently in AL but we hope to get him here to Maine in mid-June.
