The name Genesis means the beginning and for this sweet girl, we’re hoping it means the beginning of the beautiful life she has always deserved.

Genesis was being offered for rehoming on Facebook when Sunnyside Street Dogs saw her. They didn’t hesitate to step in. When a dog is being given away online, you never truly know where they may end up, and Genesis deserved the security of knowing her next home would be chosen with love and care.

Now she’s been given her second chance at true happiness.

Genesis can be a little shy when she first meets you, but underneath that timid exterior is the sweetest little soul. Give her a little time to feel safe, and she’ll happily reward you with the most precious kisses.

She is very dog friendly and walks beautifully on a leash. She is also believed to be kid friendly. Genesis is gentle, loving, and simply waiting for someone to show her that this new chapter of her life is forever.

Her past may have brought her to us, but it doesn’t get to write the rest of her story.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

The Anatolian Shepherd is a large and powerful ancient breed known for its loyalty, intelligence, and protective nature. Originating in Turkey, these dogs were bred to guard livestock from predators, showcasing their strong natural instincts. Anatolian Shepherds have a distinctive short double coat that comes in various colors, with a black mask common on their faces. They require early socialization and consistent training to manage their independent yet devoted temperament effectively.
