Buster has already been through far more than any dog should ever have to endure. He was found as a stray in Houston, injured and in rough shape, after experiencing mistreatment in the community.

Thankfully, he was finally given the help he desperately needed and is now safe with Sunnyside Street Dogs.

And despite everything he has been through, Buster is sweet, friendly, and incredibly forgiving. He still loves people and is ready to leave his painful past behind.

Now he deserves a completely different life—one filled with safety, kindness, soft beds, belly rubs, and a family who will love and protect him forever.

His past may have hurt him, but it didn't take away his beautiful spirit.

Buster is safe now. His next chapter is just beginning.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
