This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

This girl's no cowardly lion! In fact, she's no lion at all! Meet Miranda Lionheart, a 3-month-old American Bulldog mix, weighing 20 pounds (as of 7/7/26). Miranda and the rest of her LIONHEART litter were surrendered by owners in Tennessee, but they're courageously finding their way to your home... and hearts!

Miranda is best known for her gentle heart and curious spirit. She loves exploring the world around her, even going on perilous trips to the Wonderful Land of Oz in a hot air balloon! After fun adventures with curious kiddos and their doggies, she'll happily curl up beside you for a nice, long nap. Miranda has a calm, affectionate personality and is eager to learn, making her a wonderful companion for a family or individual looking for a loyal best friend they can bribe with treats.

Like all puppies, she'll need patience, training, and plenty of love as she grows, but she'll reward you with a lifetime of devotion and tips on how to be brave like her!

The Lionhearts haven't met cats yet, but they're more than open to making new friends. Since they're still puppies, they'll need your help with all things puppy training (though they have used crates for travel). Just like the Katy Perry song, you're gonna hear them r-r-roar! The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
