Mashi was found abandoned in a carrier in a busy plaza, so little is known about her past, but her fosters came to know her as the gentlest and most lovely kitty.
At first timid, Mashi will need a patient human to offer her companionship and help her build confidence. Once trust is gained, she wants her human to accompany her anywhere she goes! This total lovebug loves to be your work-from-home buddy and will hop on your desk to ask for belly rubs, all the while purring and making biscuits. Mashi would have been more aptly named Mushie, because she turns into a pile of mush whenever belly rubs are involved! Mashi is not yet a lap cat and doesn't really like being picked up, but is generally okay with pets anywhere on her body. She may chirp in protest if uncomfortable but won't scratch or bite — there truly isn’t a mean bone in her body!
Once you get to know her, Mashi has cute little quirks that you will grow to love — like her excited rattlesnake tail when you call her name, and how she does a little hop to meet your hand when you greet her. She also loves to chirp and trill her way around the home, following close behind wherever you go!
As a kitten, Mashi loves to play and has a lot of kitten energy. She will play with wand toys and laser pointers, but her all-time favourite are catnip mice! Mashi also enjoys looking out the window and observing nature, so a nice window perch would be great entertainment for her.
While Mashi loves human interactions, she currently doesn't get along with her foster-mate; but we think this may be due to a difference in personality as the other kitty has a more laid back personality. But if you have a friendly young cat needing a playmate, Mashi could be the perfect choice!
