Meet Blakely —

Once upon a time, Blakely was known as “Sad Eyes.” And honestly, it’s not hard to understand why.

Blakely came from a hoarding situation and experienced a life that no cat should have to endure. When he was finally saved and taken to a rescue, unfortunately at the time, a play area at the rescue was under construction and Blakely's only option was to spend six long months in a dog crate. This is where Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR stepped in to change Blakely’s life and he blossomed in his new cool foster home!

When Blakely first arrived to his foster, he was incredibly timid. His world was small, and his favorite place was staying on his cat tree. But little by little, something amazing happened...

Blakely started coming out of his shell.

Today, this sweet boy will greet you every single time you walk into the room. He loves his wand toy, enjoys playing every day, and absolutely melts when he gets lots and lots of love. He’ll happily sleep on his designated cat tree, but the moment you enter the room, he wants to know what you’re up to.

Blakely is FIV positive, but dont let that scare you. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is often misunderstood. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy, and completely normal lives. In fact, FIV-positive cats live right alongside FIV-negative cats without any issues. With routine veterinary care and a loving home, FIV-positive cats can enjoy the same quality of life as any other cat.

He is a calm, gentle, loving fur baby who has made an unbelievable transformation over the past few months. From barely leaving his cat tree to greeting his people, playing, and asking for attention, Blakely is showing everyone just how much love was waiting inside that scared little boy.

And that’s why we don’t call him “Sad Eyes” anymore.

Blakely is ready for the next chapter of his story — a forever home where he can play, be loved, be spoiled rotten, and finally know that he is home for good. He has waited long enough.
