Meet Cali Cheese! Her coloring and markings are very unique, and she has the best little birdie noise that she makes. This is just how she talks!
When Callie came to her current foster, she was extremely shy -- she hid from her and didn't accept any love or pets. She got away with it for awhile because she was so cute! Callie was content just being with her furry siblings. After a week, Callie's foster gave her a room to herself. Well, within a day, Callie was in her foster's lap and allowing pets and actually enjoying them! Callie was still shy when new visitors came to see her.
Callie was very excited to be back in with her siblings, however, she didn't allow her foster to pet and cuddle with her the first few days back with her siblings. It seems like Callie would need a little extra time to trust her human if she had another kitty with her. Just know, she's got so much love in her -- just needs a little extra time to come out for her favorite person! Once she trusts you, her love will be endless. Put a blanket on your lap and pat it while you call her over -- when she comes close, pull her in and start petting her. She really, really, really likes lickable treats!
Callie held her own with her much bigger brothers. She is not shy with other kitties. She loves scratchers and all types of toys and tunnels. Loves chasing the feathers around. Although she is a good player with her siblings, she also occupies herself and claims a bed all to herself.
Callie really enjoyed watching birds on her tablet. She was used to having music on or bird videos playing. She loves watching the cat games on the tv in the kitten room at the shelter but would most prefer to be in a comfy home with a new family!
Cali Cheese is spayed and up-to-date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations.
She is currently staying onsite at our Heartland Facility! Stop by during our open hours on Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm or Sunday Noon-6pm to meet them! No appointment necessary.
