Meet Cynnamon (DOB 2016) - a stunning muted tortie with a one-of-a-kind personality and a heart overflowing with love, gentleness, and kindness.

Before Cynnamon came to Safe Haven, she lived in New Jersey with an extraordinary woman who opened her heart and gave this beautiful girl the safe, loving home she had always deserved. Cynnamon shared her life with five other cats who were also surrendered to Safe Haven, affectionately known as the "Jersey Cats" (Trip, Juno, Gatsby, Darla, and Veronica—be sure to visit their Petfinder profiles, too!).

For many wonderful years, Cynnamon thrived. She lived peacefully alongside her feline family, surrounded by love and security, and formed an especially close friendship with Gatsby. She was happy, content, and exactly where she belonged.

Then, in April 2026, Cynnamon's world changed forever.

After a courageous battle with cancer, her beloved owner passed away, leaving Cynnamon and her feline family suddenly without the only home they had ever known. Due to overcrowded shelters, she was being considered for euthanization. Thanks to the compassion and kindness of friends and neighbors, Cynnamon eventually made her way to Safe Haven, where she is patiently waiting for someone to give her a second chance. Miraculously her life was spared.

Yet despite all she has lost, Cynnamon has never stopped being the sweet, gentle, and loving cat she has always been.

The moment you walk into her room, Cynnamon gracefully hops down from her favorite perch to greet you. She adores people and is always happy to soak up attention. Wand toys are one of her favorite pastimes, and after a fun play session, she's more than content to have you spoil her with endless pets, and then take a peaceful nap. Cynnamon gets along beautifully with her current roommates and has shown no aggression toward people. She truly is a lovebug with everyone she meets. She also shares a special bond with her former housemate, Gatsby. While it would be wonderful if they could find a home together, Cynnamon would also flourish in a loving home of her own. And if you happen to have a squeeze-up treat in your hand, you'll instantly become one of her favorite people!

Cynnamon would do best in a home with respectful children and adults who will cherish the gentle, affectionate companion she is. Her loving heart, easygoing nature, and playful spirit make her an exceptional cat. We honestly can't imagine anyone meeting Cynnamon and not falling completely in love with her. She has already endured the heartbreak of losing the person she loved most. Our greatest hope is that she never has to experience that kind of loss again.
