Domestic shorthair, blue and white bicolor, 10 years-old, spayed female, 5 lbs, with claws.
Cat friendly: yes, with a cat that has a sweet, easygoing personality
Dog friendly: probably with appropriate introductions to a dog that would ignore her
Kid friendly: 6 yrs+, respectful
Special needs: None — just aced her full senior wellness exam with flying colors!
*GETTING TO KNOW ME
Grey and white, 10 years young, and 100% ready to steal your heart (and your lap). Gracie is a professional cuddler with an impressive resume: guaranteed lap sitting, expert eye-contact-holder, and a black belt in happy foot biscuits Bonus talent: contentment drooling, because when you're this relaxed, why hold back?
Here's a fun secret about Gracie: she may be a domestic shorthair, but she's a Persian at heart. She joined PurrHarmony alongside 6 purebred Persians when a fellow rescuer became ill and needed help — and honestly? We couldn't possibly say no to Gracie. She fit right in with her Persian housemates, matching their laid-back, lap-loving energy stride for stride. She may not have the fancy coat, but she's got all the fancy attitude of a princess who knows she's perfection.
*IDEAL HOME
Gracie isn't looking for much. Just a lap, some eye contact, and forever. She does best with cats who bring the sweetness and dogs who mind their own business, and she'd love a home with respectful kids 6 and up. She just passed her senior wellness exam with nothing but typical, healthy senior-cat findings — she's got plenty of love left to give. As a senior girl, she's on the thin side and her calorie needs run a bit higher, so she's more than happy to accept snackies along the way.

*CARE REQUIREMENTS
*Feeding: 10oz can of Paw Lickin' Chicken by Weruva daily, divided between breakfast and dinner (snacks welcome given her senior calorie needs). Best to avoid dry food because she's not the biggest water drinker and it would be harder on her kidneys.
*Litter: Large, open-style litter box using World's Best Cat Litter (Orange bag)
*Grooming: Weekly brushing with a slicker brush — she loves it!
*TRANSITION TIPS
Like any cat, Gracie will need a "base camp" room in her new home while she settles in and gets comfortable with her new people and pets. Please research proper cat introductions — YouTube has great Jackson Galaxy videos to help.
*VETTING PROVIDED
Full senior wellness exam, spayed, tested negative for FELV/FIV & heartworm, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, Full senior cbc-chem, microchipped. Medical records supplied at adoption completion.
*LOCATION AND ADOPTION
Fostered in Valparaiso, Indiana (45 min from Chicago and SW Michigan, 2 hours from Wisconsin).
Adoption fee is $100
