DESCRIPTION

Pinto is a gorgeous, sweet, affectionate kitten. He loves to play, leaping and jumping after wand toys, chasing balls, and even catching houseflies. He loves to be cradled in his human's arms for cuddles and kisses and is always so happy to receive people's time and attention.

Pinto is one of a litter of five incredibly special kittens who fought for several weeks to beat a nasty bout of feline coronavirus. They have all been doing very well since their last treatment ended, after a relatively mild relapse.

Since the bean kittens were sick, they could not be integrated into the household, where we had a bottle feeder who would have been vulnerable to the virus. So, Pinto and his siblings may need a bit of time to adjust to a new, larger space. However, since they are also incredibly resilient and were handled regularly since birth, they are expected to adjust very well once they get used to their new home and people. Pinto can be a bit shy at first, but since he loves people so much, he typically warms up after the first or second meeting. He has not been around young children or dogs so we don't know how he would react to them, but homes with calm, gentle, older children or dogs may be okay.

Pinto will need to have a cat buddy close in age. Since some cats exposed to coronavirus may occasionally shed the virus, adopting him with one or more of his siblings may feel like a safer option. If you already have a cat, it may help to know that this virus is extremely common - most cats in multi-cat homes encounter it at some point - and for the vast majority, it causes only mild, temporary symptoms. However, very young kittens and cats with weak immune systems can experience stronger symptoms, and in rare situations the virus can change into FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Although FIP is serious, there are treatments available, now, and most cats respond well with proper care.

Pinto is a loving, cuddly, energetic, clever kitten, who has brought us so much joy. He loves to be held, walked around, and cuddled. He loves to give people kisses and make biscuits while he cuddles. Sometimes, he gets so relaxed that his little tongue sticks out. He is also a polite, patient kitten; he won't bulldoze his siblings for a spot on a lap and tends to wait for his siblings to settle in before he asks for space and pats.

Pinto is always so happy when people seek him out and shower him with attention. Pinto will bring so much joy and love to his new family.

Like all ACR cats, Pinto up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
