Burberry - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Toronto, Ontario

Just in time for fall, Burberry has arrived!

While there is no sign of the signature plaid pattern on her, Burberry is dressed beautifully in a classic tuxedo style. Burberry was rescued as a stray along with her three siblings, who we have nicknamed the “designer kittens,” and brought to EHS for some tender loving care. She is at heart a sweet, shy girl who is learning to trust people. Despite her rough start to life, she is enjoying a pampered life at the shelter with lots of attention from volunteers.

- Kittens, like Burberry, have lots of energy!
- Burberry is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
- Burberry is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.
- She prefers to spend her days cuddling with her siblings in the cat cubby—high fashion is best viewed from afar!
- She enjoys playing with a ribbon or wand toy with volunteers from the safety of the cubby, but she is still wary about venturing outside of it on her own.
- Although Burberry can be wary of people, she loves to be petted either by hand or with a back-scratcher, especially on her cheeks and chin.
- Burberry is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up-to-date on core vaccinations.

BURBERRY’S IDEAL HOME
- It is important that Burberry either go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat in residence, or be adopted with one of her siblings or another compatible EHS cat.
- Kittens require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans.
- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Burberry settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Burberry with a successful transition to her forever home.
