Meet Kelpie!

This petite lady was found as a stray and taken in by a caring community member, along with her two kittens. She is now looking for her next adventure as somebody's beloved pet - which she very much is looking forward to!

At only 5 pounds, she packs a lot of love into a tiny frame. Despite her small size, she has a good sized purr! She definitely appreciates a calm environment that can let her settle in at her own pace with a predictable routine. She seems to be quite content living inside with the humans, after she has a little bit of time to adjust to a new environment. With any move, a formerly stray cat should be expected to fully inspect the perimeter of a new territory. Starting off in a single, secure safe room to establish a routine and build a bond with her before giving her more access to the rest of the home would be important to allow her this time to settle in.

Making sure to provide ample indoor enrichment will be essential for her being able to exhibit healthy cat behavior indoors, such as playing, climbing and scratching. Safe, controlled outside access with a Catio, or harness training for walks on leash may also be something she could enjoy in the future.

Cats: Kelpie has no known experience living inside with cats.
Dogs: Kelpie has no known experience with dogs.
Children: Kelpie has previously done well interacting with children.
