Meet Castor!

This handsome senior gentleman is such a special guy and is ready and waiting for a family that will support him in his old-man adventures in a new home. He will appreciate a low-stress home and a predictable routine with somebody who will love him to pieces and be patient and understanding in providing for his needs as he ages.

He may not be a spring chicken, but what he lacks in youth he will more than make up for in wisdom, love and personality. He will enjoy finding a cozy spot in the sun for his lazy days but will also want to spend plenty of time cuddling with his favorite humans. He will benefit from a regular routine of gentle brushing to help keep his coat beautiful and healthy (and to help with his recurring case of bed-head), as grooming isn't quite as easy for him as it used to be.

Even senior cats need opportunities for essential cat behaviors such as playing, climbing and scratching. He will thrive in a home that provides opportunities for him to exhibit these behaviors, suited to his age and abilities as he ages. An important thing to consider is making sure the environment suits any mobility restrictions or changes (think pet steps, non-slip surfaces and low-sided litter boxes). Additionally, easy and convenient access to his litter box, possibly adding a second litter box, and keeping good litter box hygiene will be high on his list of requests.
