DOMINO est un séduisant garçon, grand et costaud, âgé d'environ 3 à 4 ans et en très bonne santé. Il est vraiment admirable avec son élégant pelage blanc et noir, son beau visage rond avec un adorable nez rose-bonbon et que dire de ses superbes yeux verts étincelants remplis de tendresse et d'intelligence. Bien qu'il ait un petit air grognon sur les photos, en personne, ce "canon" félin possède un charme irrésistible et il saura vous épater à coup sur !
DOMINO a été trouvé errant sur un terrain du refuge à l'été 2024 - quelqu'un l'a lâchement abandonné là :( Le pauvre était très timide et apeuré alors une gentille famille d'accueil a accepté de l'héberger peu de temps après. Pendant les premiers mois, la famille a mis des efforts pour le socialiser et DOMINO est devenu un merveilleux compagnon félin, amical autant auprès des enfants, des autres chats et auprès des chiens. Le bellâtre est revenu au refuge début avril 2026 - non pas parce que DOMINO n'était pas aimé ou pas affectueux ou pas bien adapté dans son foyer "temporaire" mais plutôt parce que l'arrivée récente d'un nouveau-né et le besoin d'espace pour aider d'autres chats à socialiser ont fait que la famille d'accueil a préféré qu'il puisse trouver des adoptants qui ont plus de temps pour lui !
Maintenant installé dans la pièce ou habitent une trentaine d'autres chats attendant leur adoption, on voyait que le gentleman poilu était apeuré et plutôt déprimé les premiers jours, se cachant dans un caisson d'arbre à chat. Pacifique et tolérant, DOMINO n'a cependant démontré aucun signe d'agressivité envers ses congénères. Nous avons même constaté que certains minets un peu anxieux viennent dormir avec lui dans le lit recouvert pour se sentir en sécurité...DOMINO agit comme un grand frère apaisant leurs craintes !
Monsieur n'est pas très actif en ce moment dans son nouvel environnement - possiblement qu'il bougera plus quand il sera 100% à l'aise dans sa nouvelle demeure mais la famille d'accueil nous avait dit qu'il aimait faire de longues siestes sur le bord des fenêtres pour capter la chaleur des rayons de soleil. Ainsi, installez lui un petit lit douillet près d'une fenêtre et DOMINO appréciera pouvoir observer à l'extérieur et regarder les oiseaux pour se divertir car il est devenu un chat exclusivement d'intérieur.
DOMINO est aimable et affectueux; l'agréable garçon peut paraître légèrement timide aux premiers abords mais dès qu'il se sent à l'aise, vous aurez affaire à un félin sociable qui aime interagir avec ses humains, sans pour autant vouloir constamment les accaparer. Possédant un tempérament doux, plaisant et bien équilibré, DOMINO accepte avec grand plaisir vos caresses et bécots mais il est moins à l'aise d'être tenu dans les bras. Le charmant chéri se tortille de bonheur quand vous le cajolez. Quand vous lui offrez des gâteries, DOMINO les déguste et cligne des yeux pour vous remercier.
DOMINO se réjouira de rejoindre un foyer où vivent des personnes attentionnées et bienveillantes, prêtes à interagir régulièrement avec lui afin qu'il puisse profiter profiter pleinement de vos marques d’affection. DOMINO est un minet "polyvalent" et plutôt confiant car il pourrait cohabiter avec enfants, chats et chiens. Cela dit, il faut donner à ce trésor bi-colore le temps de s'intégrer à sa nouvelle famille (autant à 2 pattes qu'à 4 !). Ainsi des introductions graduelles sont recommandées afin de minimiser le stress et préserver son bien‑être.
L'attachant DOMINO a vraiment tout pour plaire et mérite une belle vie avec des gens qui vont lui offrir confort, sécurité et qui vont l'aimer profondément. Il deviendra un précieux compagnon fidèle, toujours prêt à vous offrir affection, réconfort et gratitude et ce, pour plusieurs années à venir.

DOMINO is a handsome, big chunky boy about 3 to 4 years old and very good health. He looks great with his elegant black‑and‑white coat, his sweet face topped with an adorable bubble‑gum‑pink nose, and his sparkling green eyes filled with tenderness and intelligence. Although he may look a bit grumpy in the photos, in person, this feline heartthrob has irresistible charm — he’s sure to win you over instantly.
DOMINO was found wandering on the shelter's property at the end of the summer of 2024 - someone had cruelly dumped him there :( Upon arrival, the poor boy was very timid and frightened, so a kind foster family welcomed him shortly afterward. During the first few months, they worked patiently to socialize him, and DOMINO blossomed into a delightful companion — friendly with children, other cats, and even dogs. He returned to the shelter in early April 2026, not because he wasn’t loved or affectionate or well‑adjusted, but simply because the arrival of a newborn and the need for space to help other cats in need of socialization made it difficult for the family to continue fostering him. They wanted him to find adopters who could devote more time to him !
Now living in a room with about thirty other adoptable cats, we’ve noticed that our furry gentleman was initially quite scared and depressed, hiding in the cubby of a cat tree. Peaceful & tolerant, DOMINO showed no aggression toward his feline roommates. We even saw that certain more anxious kitties come cuddle and sleep with him in the covered bed to feel more safe...DOMINO acts like a big-brother soothing their insecurities !
Not very active at the moment in his new environment, he may be move around more once he is 100% comfortable in his new home. The foster family did tell us that he loves to take long naps on window sills to catch the warm rays of sunshine. Thus, offer him a nice comfy bed near a window and DOMINO will appreciate watching the outdoors and observing birds for entertainment as he has become an indoor‑only cat.
DOMINO is affectionate and amiable. He may seem slightly shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes a sociable feline who enjoys interacting with his humans but without constantly demanding attention. With his calm, pleasant, well‑balanced temperament, DOMINO happily accepts your caresses and kisses, though he is less comfortable being held in your arms. This charming darling wiggles with joy when you cuddle him. And when you offer him treats, DOMINO savors them and gives you slow blinks to show his appreciation.
DOMINO will thrive in a home with caring, attentive people who will interact with him regularly so he can fully enjoy your pampering and affection. He is a “versatile” and fairly confident cat who could live with children, cats, and dogs. That said, this two‑toned treasure will need time to settle into his new family — both the 2‑legged and four‑legged members. Gradual introductions are recommended to minimize stress and support his well‑being.
Awesome DOMINO truly has everything going for him and deserves a wonderful life with people who will offer him comfort, security, and who will cherish him deeply. He will become a loyal, precious companion, always ready to share affection, tenderness and gratitude for many years to come.
