CRICKET (alias BOOTSIE) est un magnifique chat de neuf ans au pelage tigré et blanc orné de splendides motifs ; ses grands yeux verts, fascinants, débordent de douceur et d’amour. Son surnom vient de ses adorables petites pattes blanches.
Ce charmant monsieur a été confié au refuge en février 2026, car son humain — qui l’avait depuis qu’il était tout jeune — devait déménager et ne pouvait malheureusement pas l’emmener dans son nouveau logement. Ils avaient vécu heureux ensemble, tous les deux, sans autres animaux ni autres personnes. Après son arrivée, CRICKET a eu la chance d’être accueilli par une gentille famille d’accueil qui prend désormais soin de lui avec beaucoup d’attention.
CRICKET est en excellente santé pour son âge, un kyste a toutefois été retiré en avril — heureusement, les analyses ont confirmé qu’il était bénin. On nous a indiqué que CRICKET avait auparavant accès à l’extérieur, mais pour assurer sa longévité et préserver sa santé, il devra désormais vivre exclusivement à l’intérieur et recevoir une alimentation de haute qualité adaptée aux chats matures.
L'élégant minet est extrêmement attachant — sociable, intelligent et peu vocal. On peut le décrire comme un doux géant au tempérament placide. Malgré les gros bouleversements récents dans sa vie, CRICKET demeure très affectueux et avenant avec les gens. Il recherche la présence, le réconfort, et vient spontanément demander des câlins dès que vous l’appelez ou tendez la main, se frottant tendrement contre votre jambe. CRICKET adore les caresses et les bisous. Il se manipule facilement et accepte d’être pris, même s’il préfère les câlins de courte durée. Une fois en confiance, il ronronne volontiers lorsqu’on le caresse.
Ce gentleman poilu appréciera profondément la chaleur, la tranquillité et la sécurité d’un foyer calme et aimant. Avec un niveau d’énergie faible à modéré, CRICKET est curieux sans exiger de stimulation constante ; il jouera quelques minutes avec des jouets ou une ficelle, mais reste globalement posé. Il aime explorer son environnement et observer ce qui se passe dehors depuis la fenêtre :) Il devient tout excité à l’heure du repas — c’est le moment où il reçoit sa portion de nourriture humide — et une fois terminé, il se charge aussi de nettoyer les bols des autres ! Pour la sieste, CRICKET adore se blottir sur un coussin moelleux ou s’étendre sur vos jambes lorsque vous êtes assis sur le canapé. Ce tendre compagnon aime également dormir près de sa maman d’accueil ; nous croyons donc qu’il souhaitera continuer à se blottir contre vous dans le lit (si vous l’y invitez) lorsqu’il aura trouvé sa famille pour la vie.
Nous recherchons des adoptants attentionnés et disponibles, car le petit "BOOTSIE" chérit profondément la présence humaine. Avec son tempérament doux et non-anxieux, CRICKET devrait s’adapter rapidement à son nouveau foyer. Bien qu’il ne côtoie pas d’enfants dans sa famille d’accueil, nous pensons qu’il pourrait vivre harmonieusement avec des enfants respectueux de 10 ans et plus, ainsi qu’avec des adultes. CRICKET cohabite avec les autres chats de la maison d'accueil, davantage dans le sens où il les tolère sans chercher à interagir réellement. Cela dit, ce gentil garçon s’épanouirait certainement plus comme seul animal, tant qu’il n’est pas laissé seul pendant de longues périodes.
L’extraordinaire CRICKET a besoin de vous, et nous espérons sincèrement lui offrir l’avenir lumineux qu’il mérite. Il deviendra sans aucun doute un compagnon merveilleux. En retour, il vous témoignera sa gratitude avec une immense tendresse — votre cœur débordera d’amour pour ce chat parfait :).

CRICKET (a.k.a. BOOTSIE) is a beautiful nine year old chap with tabby & white fur which has fabulous markings ; his large, mesmerizing green eyes are brimming with kindness and love. His nickname comes from his cute white paws.
This charming gentleman was brought to the shelter in February 2026, as his human companion who had him since he was very young, was moving and could not bring him to the new dwellings. The two had lived happily together, just the two of them, with no other pets or people. After his arrival at the shelter, CRICKET was fortunate to be taken in by a nice foster family who now cares for him diligently.
CRICKET is in very good health for his age but a cyst was removed in April which thankfully proved to be benign once tested. We're told that CRICKET previously had access to the outdoors, but to ensure his longevity and good health moving forward, he must now be an exclusively indoor cat, and should be fed high-quality food for mature felines.
This dashing boy is extremely endearing — friendly, clever, and quiet. He can be described as a gentle giant with an easygoing personality. Although he has been recently through major upheavals in his life, CRICKET remains very affectionate and social with people. He craves interaction and comforting and always comes looking for cuddles when you call or reach out to him and will lean against your leg fetchingly. CRICKET delights in cuddles and kisses. He’s easy to handle and can be picked up, though he prefers short snuggles. Once he feels safe, he’ll purr while being caressed.
This furry gentleman would truly enjoy the gentle warmth, peace, and safety of a calm and loving home. With a low to moderate energy level, CRICKET is curious but doesn't require constant stimulation; he may play a few minutes with toys or pieces of string but otherwise he is quite calm. He’ll explore his surroundings and gaze out the window to see what’s happening outside :) He gets all excited when it's dinner time - that's when he gets his portion of wet food - and when he is done, he cleans out everyone's plates too ! For nap time, CRICKET loves curling up on a soft cushion or lying on your legs while you are sitting on the couch. The furry fellow also likes to sleep beside his foster mom so we believe that he will continue to want to snuggle beside you in bed (if invited) when he finds his forever home.
We’re seeking caring and attentive adopters as little "BOOTSIE" cherishes human companionship. With such a gentle spirit and not the nervous type, CRICKET should adjust quickly to his new household and family. Although he is not in contact with children in his foster home, we believe he could live happily with respectful older children (age 10 +) and adults. CRICKET gets along with the other cats in the foster home, more in the sense that he tolerates them but he makes no real effort to interact with them. That being said, this sweet boy would certainly thrive as the only pet, as long as he’s not left alone for extended periods.
The extraordinary CRICKET needs you, and we sincerely hope to offer him the beautiful future he deserves. He will undoubtedly be a wonderful companion. In return, he’ll express his gratitude with much tenderness - your heart will burst with love for this perfect kitty :).
