Lester is a sweet and loving boy who has a special place in his heart for anyone who takes the time to give him treats and play with him.

This darling marmalade boy has two love languages: play and food. Lester is a fearsome hunter when stalking his birdy and mouse plush toys. When the urge hits, he might ask to play fetch by dropping a toy at your feet. A wand toy with a small bird or feather has been another hit! Anything that mimics nature will get Lester going. Even when he's not in the mood to play with toys, Lester will spend time sitting by the open window, looking at birds stopping by the birdfeeder.

Lester is very food motivated and is anything but a picky eater. He can do some basic commands like "up" and "down" when a treat is in play. This also means he will thrive with an adopter who can ensure he's not getting into food he shouldn't have.

Once off-duty, Lester can be found taking a nap by your side, whether that's on the couch or in a soft spot nearby. He just wants to be near you! He eagerly greets his people at the door, doling out head bumps and leg rubs when you return home.

His future adopters will need to monitor his current heart murmur, but otherwise he is a healthy and playful cat. He would appreciate adopters who will honor his personal space and give him the love and attention he needs.
