It's easy to get hooked on Java Bean-she makes friends (and fans) wherever she goes! This 5-6-year-old cutie patootie was a staff favorite at her originating shelter, and she quickly won over hearts after arriving at PAWS, too. With her soulful puppy-dog eyes and gentle little nudges for pets, Java Bean has a way of making people fall for her almost instantly.
Now settling into her foster home, Java Bean is starting to feel safe enough to let her personality shine-and it's been so special to watch her blossom. She loves spending time with both people and dogs, and she seems happiest simply being close to her loved ones rather than playing with toys. Java Bean has done well meeting both children and other dogs, and she seems to genuinely enjoy canine companionship. She has also shown interest in cats, though any introductions should be slow and thoughtful to help everyone adjust comfortably.
One of Java Bean's sweetest qualities is how affectionate she is. Her foster shares that she loves gently pressing her head and body into your arms and leaning in for pets-and says, "She would happily stay like that forever if you let her." According to her foster, Java Bean loves hopping into her bed at the end of the day, and you can practically watch the stress of the day melt away as she settles in close.
She's also beginning to show off more of her playful side each day! Java Bean is finding her voice and working on feeling more comfortable being left alone, and she's been making nice progress-especially when she has a tasty treat or frozen Kong to help keep her occupied.
With a little patience and a lot of love, Java Bean is ready to trade in her past for a future full of cozy moments and companionship. If you're looking for a sweet companion to grow alongside you, she might just be your perfect blend.
