Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
PATRICK
Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
May 24th
male, small, senior
DESCRIPTION
Patrick is ready for his fresh start! After first arriving at the city shelter in 2022, being adopted, then later rehomed during a move through no fault of his own, he unfortunately found himself back at the shelter again. So what this sweet little scruffy guy wants most now is stability, comfort, and a family who's truly in it for the long haul!
Patrick is an affectionate, friendly pup who loves giving kisses, snuggling up close, and enjoying playtime with his people. He's also reportedly lived successfully with both people and other animals before, though we don't have many details about those experiences, so any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly and thoughtfully to help everyone settle in comfortably.
Patrick already knows some commands and seems eager to connect with people, learn, and be loved. He would also benefit from a home committed to helping him feel his best while managing some itchy skin.
If you're looking for a loyal little companion with lots of love to give, Patrick may be your guy. And he's hoping that his next chapter is finally his forever one!
Not ready to adopt but able to care for Patrick while he waits for her forever home? Please email foster@phillypaws.org to learn more about fostering him!
------------------------------------
This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
