Sun - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New York, New York

What my friends at ACC say about me:
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
Sun is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Because his previous owner described him as friendly and calm in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center is shelter-specific and this cat would likely be a great pet but is really struggling in the shelter environment. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced home with adopters who are willing to work with a cat who needs time and patience to help him adjust to his new home.
