Mirasol - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New Berlin, Wisconsin

Mirasol is a beautiful brown tabby who will quietly study her humans, keep tabs on household developments, and make sure everyone is behaving appropriately. She may be shy, but she is also curious, smart, friendly, and very interested in what you're doing.

She'd prefer to investigate you without you making a whole thing about it.
She does have an override switch: Wet food.

Mirasol can be snoozing away in her safest hiding spot when she hears the sounds of dinner prep. Suddenly, a brown tabby comes flying out of nowhere. Shyness gone. A girl has priorities.

When food isn't involved, Mirasol is a wonderfully chill little kitten who enjoys watching the world go by. She's more likely to stalk her humans from a distance than climb directly into the center of the action, although she has a playful streak and loves a good wand toy. She's smart and observant. As she becomes comfortable, more and more of her personality begins peeking out.

Mirasol was born to a mama from a colony of cats and came into foster care when she was only a day or two old. Unlike her wildly outgoing brothers, Carolina Reaper and Habanero, Mirasol inherited a little more of mama's caution. New situations can still feel big to her, and sudden activity may send her looking for someplace safe. But underneath that skittish exterior is a sweet, friendly kitten who just needs people willing to let things unfold at her pace.

Her ideal home will be quiet to moderately active, with patient adults or older kids who understand that building trust with a shy kitten isn't something you can hurry. Some cat experience would be helpful, and Mirasol absolutely needs a friendly, confident cat companion who can show her that everything is okay and help her continue building confidence. She would not be a good match for a home with dogs.

Give Mirasol a safe place, a good cat friend, a little patience and a reliable dinner schedule, and you'll have a bestie for life.
