Meet Dewberry

Dewberry is a tiny calico girl with the sweetest face and the most expressive "calico eye" you've ever seen. One look from her and you'll smile... but if you look a little longer, you'll see the sadness she carries too.

This little girl already had her forever home once. She knew what it felt like to be loved, to have a favorite spot to sleep, and a person who was hers. But then her owner passed away, and Dewberry lost the only world she knew.

Since coming back to us, she hasn't been quite the same. Grief changes animals, just like it changes people. She's a little quieter, a little more careful with her heart, but she still leans into gentle pets and still wants someone to love.

Dewberry doesn't need a perfect home. She needs a patient one. A home that understands that sometimes healing takes time. A home that will look past the calico attitude and see the small, sweet kitty who has already experienced far more loss than she ever should have.

We can't give Dewberry her old life back. But we are hoping with everything we have that we can help her find a new family who will love her just as deeply and remind her that she is safe, wanted, and home again.
