Hi, I am Chitara, and the first thing most people notice about me is my purr. It is big, it is bold, and it kicks in the moment I feel happy, which is most of the time. I wear my contentment out loud, and I make no apologies for it whatsoever.

I am young and outgoing in a way that comes naturally to me. When company comes to my foster home, I am the official greeter. Everyone gets a proper hello from me, and I do not discriminate. Cats, dogs, strangers, regulars, all of them get the same warm, friendly Chitara welcome. I have never met someone I did not want to befriend.

What I love most, though, is the everyday quiet of being with my person. I keep my foster mama company during the day, sleep beside her at night, and make myself available for cuddles at any point in between. Being held is genuinely one of my favorite experiences. When she picks me up, I settle into her arms completely, like everything in the world is exactly right. Because in that moment, it is.

I also enjoy keeping myself entertained with a good mouse toy when the mood strikes, and I spend meaningful time at the window watching birds and taking in the world outside. I am curious but calm, playful but gentle, and affectionate in a way that fills up whatever space I am in.
