Meet Toupee — a handsome 3-year-old gentleman with a soft soul, playful spirit, and a heart just waiting for the right person to understand him.

Toupee is the kind of cat who thrives in a calm, peaceful home where he can truly relax and be himself. While he may be a little shy when new people visit and could retreat to a cozy hiding spot until things quiet down, once he feels safe, his sweet personality begins to shine.

This charming boy has excellent litterbox habits (though he occasionally gets a little enthusiastic with his digging and may scatter some litter outside the box — consider it part of his artistic flair and is easily resolved with a covered litter box!). He also has a healthy appetite and never says no to mealtime.

Toupee’s playful side comes alive with his favorite wand toy, which he proudly tosses and bats around like a tiny hunter showing off his skills. When playtime is over, you’ll often find him happily perched by a window, quietly watching the world go by. Bird watching, squirrel spotting, and sunbeam lounging are some of his favorite hobbies.

Because Toupee prefers a predictable, low-stress environment, we believe he would do best as the only cat in a quieter home without a lot of commotion. He’s looking for someone patient and understanding — someone who will let him settle in at his own pace and appreciate the gentle companionship he offers in return.

You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash).

NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility.

Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats
