Salem - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Las Vegas, Nevada

Meet Salem!

Salem may have been the last of our Turtle Den Four to be rescued, but don't let his initial shyness fool you.

This nine-week-old mini-panther has a major snuggler hiding underneath that little bit of spice.

When someone reaches for him, Salem can be more hesitant about being picked up than his siblings. But once he's safely in your arms?

Game over. He melts.

Give him chin scratches and head rubs, and he will often fall asleep in your arms.

He tends to let his siblings take the lead at first, including at mealtime, but he'll eventually come over and happily eat with his foster nearby. He also loves Churu and playtime and is steadily gaining confidence.

Salem and his siblings were rescued from a turtle den by an extraordinary Good Samaritan who brought them indoors, cared for them, got them started on veterinary care and documented their progress every step of the way.

Now he's at Homeward Bound and ready to keep growing into the wonderful cat he's meant to be.

He just needs someone who understands that sometimes the sweetest kittens are the ones who take a little time to reveal themselves.

And when Salem finally settles into your arms?

We suspect you'll think the wait was worth it.
