DESCRIPTION

Meet Thomasina, Catsby, RiffRaff & Hobbes!

These four sweethearts are proof that sometimes the best things are worth waiting just a little bit for.

Thomasina, Catsby, RiffRaff, and Hobbes are gentle, playful kittens who have come SO far in learning that people can be pretty wonderful. They can still be a little shy when something—or someone—is new, but give them a little time to settle in and you'll see their curiosity take over and their personalities begin to shine.

They're kittens who appreciate being allowed to make friends at their own pace. Once they feel safe, they're ready to play, explore, hang out with their feline buddies, and enjoy all the good things indoor life has to offer.

They are great with other cats, can live with cat-friendly dogs, and would do well with respectful children who understand that sometimes the best way to make a new kitten friend is to let the kitten come to you.

Their story began along Highway 96 in Millport, Alabama, where their feral mama had given birth underneath a home. Mama wasn't interested in trading her outdoor life for one with humans, so after her kittens were safely brought inside, she eventually went to a barn home where she could live life on her terms.

Her babies, however, were young enough to get a very different future.

They've gone from wary little kittens who weren't quite sure what to make of us to sweet youngsters who are learning more every day that people mean food, toys, comfort, and love.

Thomasina, Catsby, RiffRaff, and Hobbes may not be the kittens who immediately launch themselves into a stranger's arms—and that's okay.

Give them a little patience, and you get the privilege of watching trust turn into friendship.

Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
