DESCRIPTION

Meet Mouse & Pip.

Sometimes the sweetest friendships begin in the most unexpected places.

Mouse's story started at a hospital. A tiny kitten had somehow found his way into the engine of a vehicle and was discovered there, needing someone to give him a second chance. When he arrived at the shelter, he had a large Cuterebra in his neck, was covered in fleas, and even had a small burn on his ear. He had certainly had a rough start, but none of that dampened his personality.

A Southern rescuer was at her local shelter one day, waiting for paperwork to be completed for a transport, when she decided to walk around and take a look at the cats and kittens inside.

That's when she met Mouse.

It didn't take long for her to realize this little guy was something special, so Mouse went home with her to foster.

And what a personality he has!

Now healthy, Mouse is friendly, playful, and just a little bit silly. He has the cutest squeaky little meow, knows exactly what the sound of a can opening means, and has a very healthy appetite. He loves chasing a wand, stalking that elusive laser dot, and making sure there is never a dull moment.

Then there was Pip.

While the rescuer was still at the shelter, she noticed a very young, very shy kitten sitting alone in a kennel. Pip had come from a feral cat colony, where she had been trapped alongside an older kitten from the colony. At only about four to five weeks old, Pip was understandably frightened and hadn't had much experience with people.

When the rescuer reached toward her, Pip let out a little "hiss"!

But this tiny girl was about to learn that she was safe.

It didn't take Pip long to discover that humans could be trusted—especially when those humans came bearing food! Food was definitely the way to Pip's heart.

But Mouse played an important role, too.

Mouse became a wonderfully wholesome influence on Pip, teaching her the ropes and showing her that people can be kind, playtime is fun, and there is nothing to fear. With Mouse by her side, Pip has blossomed into a much more confident kitten.

These two don't have to be adopted together, but there is something awfully special about their friendship. Mouse gives Pip that little extra boost of confidence she needs, while Pip gives Mouse a sweet little companion to keep him entertained.

Together, they are an adorable little team—and they would make a family very happy.

If you're looking for endless entertainment, playful kitten antics, adorable squeaky meows, and a friendship that will melt your heart, Mouse and Pip just might be your perfect pair.

Don't miss your chance to let these two little personalities bring some extra joy into your life!

Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
