Meet Buck & Barnaby — Two Boys from the Shuqualak Chicken Barn!

These two boys share the same beginnings, but each has his own sweet little personality.

BUCK

Buck is a slightly bashful, independent little guy who is happy to take his time getting comfortable and doesn't need to be the center of attention.

His foster says he has the cutest way of carrying himself — he walks around like a little king.

Buck enjoys doing his own thing, but he's also playful and loves joining in with the other kittens. He's done wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats of all ages, making him a pretty easy little guy to fit into a family.

He's simply not an over-the-top attention seeker. Buck has a quieter way about him and is perfectly happy balancing time with his friends and people with a little independence of his own.

BARNABY

Barnaby is the more openly affectionate of the two. This sweet boy is loving, playful, and a wonderful cuddler.

He's happy playing with his feline friends, but he's equally happy settling in with his people for some quality snuggle time.

Barnaby has also done great with kids, dogs, and cats of all ages and is an easygoing, social little guy.

Buck and Barnaby originally came to us from the Shuqualak Chicken Barn, and these days they have a whole extended group of kitten friends.

They're fostered with Hei Hei and Isabella's babies — Winnie, Sarah, Mary, Dani, and Thackery — so everyone already knows one another.

That means adopters looking for a pair have lots of options!

Buck and Barnaby can be adopted together, but they don't have to be. Either boy can be paired with one of the other kittens in their foster group based on personality and the best fit.

Whether you're drawn to Buck's sweet, slightly bashful independence or Barnaby's cuddly, affectionate nature, these Chicken Barn boys are ready to trade their humble beginnings for homes of their very own.

Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
