If your idea of the perfect cat is a quiet, gentle companion who simply wants to share life with you, Patchwork may be your girl.

This beautiful tabico has a one-of-a-kind coat and an equally lovely personality. Patchwork is sweet, calm, and easygoing. She enjoys soft scratches behind the ears and under her chin and is happiest simply being near her people.

She's not a velcro kitty who needs to be attached to your side every minute. Patchwork is more of a “I'll hang out right here with you” kind of girl — content to share your space, keep you company, and offer a little gentle commentary along the way.

She'd be wonderful in a peaceful home, perhaps even with a senior mom or dad looking for a companion. Patchwork would be perfectly happy settling in beside you for an afternoon of game shows, a Netflix mini-series, or simply a quiet day at home.

And when you know where Patchwork came from, it's especially easy to imagine how much she'd appreciate that kind of life.

Patchwork and her kittens were found living at a business in Columbus. She was doing what good mothers do — teaching her babies how to survive. That included showing them where to find food around a dumpster, one of the only dependable food sources they had besides occasional scraps left by kind people at a nearby RV park.

Patchwork spent her days making sure her babies knew how to survive.

Now we'd like her to learn what it's like when survival isn't something she has to think about anymore.

No more dumpster dinners. No more wondering where the next meal will come from.

Just a warm home, a favorite spot on the couch, scratches under the chin, and someone who's happy to have a sweet little tabico nearby.

Patchwork has already done the hard part.

Now she's ready for Home, Sweet Home.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
