Broccoli has taken to indoor living like a swimmer takes to a pool. ‍ Cozy beds, human attention, regular meals, a climate-controlled environment — apparently this is exactly the lifestyle he was meant for. Turns out, this broccoli is definitely better served indoors!

He's a friendly, easygoing guy who gets along well with other cats and would likely do well with older, cat-savvy children. Broccoli could be perfectly happy as your one-and-only veggie, or he'd enjoy having another friendly feline around for company.

And Broccoli's story makes his love of house-cat life even sweeter.

He was found at a TNR site in Longview, Mississippi, where it quickly became clear that this was not a guy who wanted to return to colony life. Broccoli made his feelings about humans known — he was definitely ready to be picked!

His adorable ear tip is simply a little souvenir from his TNR adventure. The trappers were working quickly to get the colony cats fixed and returned with as little stress as possible, and Broccoli was ear-tipped before everyone realized that his future looked a little different.

Instead of returning outside, Broccoli got a chance at indoor life — and he hasn't looked back.
