Aoife made quite the entrance when she was found at a community cat colony around Christmas 2025 at 6 months of age — instead of hiding, she strutted right out, meowing at her rescuer and demanding pets like she'd been waiting her whole life for this moment. Clearly, Aoife missed the memo on acting “feral.”

This petite girl is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and people-oriented. She loves her humans and has never met a lap, bed, or gentle hand she didn't appreciate. Her favorite things include lounging comfortably, soaking up attention, and being close to the people she loves.

Aoife was adopted and had a loving home for several months, but she ultimately found herself back with us after ongoing conflict with the family's other young female cat. Her adopters absolutely did not want to give her up and exhausted every effort to help the girls coexist, but sometimes two cats simply aren't the right match.

And now that Aoife is back at the Catfe, she is once again her sweet, loving self — greeting humans, soaking up affection, and reminding everyone exactly why we fell in love with her in the first place.

Because of her history, we think Aoife would be happiest as the one and only kitty or potentially in a home with easygoing male cats who are comfortable sharing their space. A home without resident female cats will be the best fit for this particular little sweetheart.
