Meet Miss Jackson and Rowena - Bonded Pair of Twins That Need a Second Chance

Miss Jackson is a sweet senior girl with a gentle heart and a very special companion—her sister, Rowena. These two girls have spent the past 10 years together, after being adopted from Michigan Humane Society about a decade ago as kittens.

When the sisters came into our care following the unexpected and tragic passing of their beloved owner, we knew there had to be more to their story. Thankfully, both girls were microchipped, which allowed us to connect the dots and learn more about their history. We discovered their names, their approximate age, and that they had been adopted from Michigan Humane Society roughly 10 years ago. They have truly spent a lifetime together.

A wonderful prior FCS adopter stepped in to rescue Miss Jackson and Rowena and is lovingly fostering them while we search for their next family. They are safe, together, and fully vetted—but it's important that we find them a new home soon so their temporary foster can remain just that: temporary. After everything these girls have been through, they deserve the security of knowing where they'll spend their golden years. Because their rescuer stepped in, they did not have to be returned to a shelter with kennels.

Miss Jackson is an easygoing girl who appreciates the quieter things in life. She loves gentle attention, especially a good head scratch, and enjoys finding a cozy spot to relax. She isn't particularly playful, but she has mastered the art of being a wonderful companion—and she certainly doesn't object to a comfy cardboard box when one is available.

She may need a little time to adjust to a new environment, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines through. And wherever Miss Jackson goes, Rowena needs to go, too. Their decade-long bond is incredibly special, and we simply cannot imagine separating them now.
