Umber - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

Umber is living in a foster home! Fill out an adoption application to meet them! We do recommend that all kittens be adopted with another kitten or cat in the home, so that they can continue socialization and learning good habits!

This kitten is neutered and fully healthy! They are up to date on vaccines. They are still receiving the core kitten vaccine series and will need additional vaccines after adoption to reach full immunization. They are also microchipped!

Umber is a little guy with a huge personality. Because he was separated from his siblings at a young age, he's very reliant on his human for attention, play time, and comfort. He loves to be included in whatever activity is happening. If I'm doing dishes, he's playing in the kitchen. If I'm working, he's playing by my feet and hoping for some attention. Umber would thrive in a home with another kitten or an energetic cat, and with people who have the time to give him all of the love and play he craves. He will greet you like a dog when you get home, following you step for step until you've greeted him properly. He has a ton of love to give, and just needs someone ready to receive it!

Litter Box Trained: Has excellent litter box habits

Unsure with Dogs: Has not been tested with dogs, so their compatibility is unknown. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet.

Unsure with Cats: Hasn't spent time with other cats, but with proper introductions, it is likely they'd do great

Likely Kid Friendly: Has shown positive signs around children but may need a gradual introduction to younger family members.

Umber's adoption fee is $150, and this kitten can't wait to meet you!

Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any cat in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours.
