He makes sure his 4 siblings are all tucked into the basket when recess has ended then puts himself to bed in his office “The Piggy Nook”. Colonel Mustard is an all black kitten that will absolutely turn your heart. Colonel Mustard has a curiosity quest each time he’s out of his office. He’s on the hunt for his favorite toy. Everything from a cardboard box to the stray socks you left on the floor. When Colonel Mustard isn't practicing his high-jumps or scaling the sunflower tower, he loves to curl right up on your chest for a heavy-purr nap. Colonel Mustard has a big personality and will thrive in a home where he can have plenty of playtime then a quiet “library” or a warm lap, shoulder or chest to catch a nap on. He gets along wonderfully with other playful cats and would love a feline buddy to wrestle with! Colonel Mustard will thrive in a loving playful and active home, he gets along beautifully with other cats / calm dogs & kids. He would love a home with plenty of toys and a family ready to play. If you are interested in adopting a bonded pair or two kittens, please indicate this on your application as preference is given to applicants seeking to adopt in pairs. Please also note that adoption fees are non-negotiable and we do not offer discounts.***

We want adopters to thoughtfully consider the lifelong commitment of a pet. As a volunteer-run rescue, we cannot always process paperwork immediately after meet-and-greets. Most adoptions are finalized within 24-hours.

To help speed up the process, please email a walkthrough video of your home and a list of indoor plants/flowers to adoptioncoordinator@mariospaw.org after scheduling your meet-and-greet.

Our adoption process consists of:
- a submitted application and list of indoor plants/flowers
- in person meet-and-greet
- video walk through of the main areas of your home
- adoption link sent to your phone with our contract where you will pay the adoption fee and receive the medical records sent via email

What’s Included in the Adoption Fee:
Spayed/Neutered (Pets are not adopted without surgery)
Microchipped
FIV/FeLV tested (Felines)
Up to date on FVRCP (Feline) or DHPP (Canine) vaccines
Dewormed and flea-treated

Your adoption fee also helps cover supplies, administrative costs, and vet care for our many medical cases allowing us to rescue more animals in need of extra surgeries, specialist care, and rehabilitation.
