Meet Tater Tot! This sweet pup likes to take his time sizing up the room and watching the action unfold, proving that wisdom comes in small, fuzzy packages. Once he feels safe and comfortable in his new surroundings, his playful side shines right through. He plays hard and naps harder.

Tater Tot would love a patient family that will let him adjust at his own pace, respect his watcher-first style, and then join him for play sessions once he’s ready. Because he's getting great socialization in foster care with cats, dogs, and kids, he's adaptable to a multi-pet or family household ready for puppy adventures (and house-training homework!).

We want adopters to thoughtfully consider the lifelong commitment of a pet. As a volunteer-run rescue, we cannot always process paperwork immediately after meet-and-greets. Most adoptions are finalized within 24-hours.

To help speed up the process, please email a walkthrough video of your home to adoptioncoordinator@mariospaw.org after scheduling your meet-and-greet.

Our adoption process consists of:
- a submitted application
- in person meet-and-greet
- video walk through of the main areas of your home
- adoption link sent to your phone with our contract where you will pay the adoption fee and receive the medical records sent via email

What’s Included in the Adoption Fee:
Spayed/Neutered (Pets are not adopted without surgery)
Microchipped
FIV/FeLV tested (Felines)
Up to date on FVRCP (Feline) or DHPP (Canine) vaccines
Dewormed and flea-treated

Your adoption fee also helps cover supplies, administrative costs, and vet care for our many medical cases allowing us to rescue more animals in need of extra surgeries, specialist care, and rehabilitation.
