ADOPT DENNIS!
Dennis is a 2-year-old long-haired orange boy with a spectacular mane, a heart full of love, and absolutely zero custody of the single orange brain cell. How he managed to get parts of a foxtail plant lodged in his nasal cavity is a mystery that may never be solved, but it has convinced us that Dennis is best suited to an indoor lifestyle where he can be protected from both foxtails and his own questionable decision-making.

What Dennis lacks in survival instincts, he more than makes up for in affection. This mini lion is the most loving foster we've had. He'll happily summon his humans to the couch for snuggle sessions, lean into every pet, and purr his approval while being brushed. In fact, Dennis is so people-oriented that affection ranks higher than treats on his list of favorite things.

Dennis is currently recovering from his foxtail adventure and will need a little time for his breathing to fully return to normal. He may fully recover or may just have had damage to the nasal canal and be dealing with this forever.

If you're looking for a sweet, cuddly companion who wants nothing more than to be near his people, Dennis is your guy. Just do him one favor: keep him far, far away from foxtails. The orange brain cell can only do so much.

Dennis is available for adoption and ready to charm his way into your heart (and onto your couch).

Adoption Fee: $150

***Please Note: We do not offer same-day adoptions. If you are interested in adopting a bonded pair or two kittens, please indicate this on your application as preference is given to applicants seeking to adopt in pairs. Please also note that adoption fees are non-negotiable and we do not offer discounts.***

We want adopters to thoughtfully consider the lifelong commitment of a pet. As a volunteer-run rescue, we cannot always process paperwork immediately after meet-and-greets. Most adoptions are finalized within 24-hours.

To help speed up the process, please email a walkthrough video of your home and a list of indoor plants/flowers to adoptioncoordinator@mariospaw.org after scheduling your meet-and-greet.

Our adoption process consists of:
- a submitted application and list of indoor plants/flowers
- in person meet-and-greet
- video walk through of the main areas of your home
- adoption link sent to your phone with our contract where you will pay the adoption fee and receive the medical records sent via email

Whats Included in the Adoption Fee:
Spayed/Neutered (Pets are not adopted without surgery)
Microchipped
FIV/FeLV tested (Felines)
Up to date on FVRCP (Feline) or DHPP (Canine) vaccines
