Ethel s a domestic short haired brown tabby spayed female, up to date on her shots and approximately 1 year old. Ethel is available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Northwest Indiana.


Hi! I’m Ethel! I'd like to tell you about myself because I'm looking for a forever home. I didn't have the easiest start, I came from a house where there were too many kitties. Even though I wasn't loved as much as I wanted before, I haven’t let that dampen my spirit! I absolutely adore people and love each and every pet and attention you’re willing to give me! Even though I'm a friendly girl, no one has taken me home yet??

I do have a little health problem, I have chronic sniffles (upper respiratory infections). So, I’ll need a family who doesn't mind a few extra vet visits to keep me feeling my best! Other than that, I love to play, to eat and get lots of love!
Because the shelter wants to make sure I find the perfect match, my adoption fee is waived! I’m just looking for someone who understands my needs and is ready to spoil me with pets and plenty of love. I promise I will return your love plus even more! Do you think that could be you?

Maybe you should come to the shelter to meet me! I'm always wanting more pets! And I’m always ready to make a new friend and I get along with other kitties! Older kids are okay too but I'm not sure about dogs. Hopefully I've convinced you to at least cien and meet me and the shelter people can tell you more about me! I can't wait!!

Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
