Gazela - Domestic Medium Hair and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia

Meet Gazela, a beautiful gray female kitten who has spent the last few weeks in a loving foster home learning how safe and cozy indoor life can be. Gazela came in a bit shy, and while she’s made wonderful progress, she’s still a cautious girl who needs time, patience, and a gentle touch.
In foster care, Gazela enjoys playing with her siblings and will happily come out to explore when someone she trusts is nearby. She absolutely loves Churu treats and will bravely approach for a taste—though she still prefers not to be touched quite yet. Gazela is not a fan of being picked up, but she stays calm when handled briefly.
She has excellent litterbox habits (truly top-tier, according to her foster!) and prefers crunchy kibble over canned food. She’s also met an adult cat and handled the encounter politely and curiously.
Gazela would do best with an adopter who has experience with shy kittens and who understands that trust takes time. She thrives with feline companionship, and ideally she’d be adopted with one of her more outgoing brothers, who help her feel safe and confident.
If you’re patient, gentle, and willing to let Gazela bloom at her own pace, she will reward you with quiet sweetness, curiosity, and the joy of watching a shy kitten learn to love.
