Grape - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia

GRAPE

Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Fairfax, Virginia
July 3rd
male, large, adult

DESCRIPTION

Grape is a male Labrador Retriever mix with a friendly, engaging personality. He is highly people-social and enjoys interacting with staff, volunteers, and new visitors. Food-motivated and enthusiastic about toys, Grape responds well to positive reinforcement and is eager to participate in enrichment activities.
Grape is generally social with other dogs, though he may benefit from slow and patient introductions when meeting new canine companions. With thoughtful handling, he settles well and can enjoy the company of other dogs.
Grape would be an excellent match for an adopter seeking an affectionate, active, and trainable companion. He is ready to join a home that can provide structure, enrichment, and plenty of opportunities for him to thrive.

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take her home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
