DESCRIPTION

Meet Wakko! This energetic, playful puppy is ready to win over your heart! Wakko came into us as a stray, so we don't know much about his past but, he has proven to be an absolute love bug! Wakko has enjoyed playing with toys along with receiving all the cuddles from his human friends. While in our care, Wakko has done well with just about everything! He does well for handling and showed no signs of resource guarding, we always recommend giving a dog space while they are eating! This young pup is just 7 months old and still needs to be shown the ropes on how to be a good canine citizen! Wakko will thrive in an adoptive home that can provide patience, structure, and plenty of positive experiences as he learns and grows into a well-mannered canine citizen. He'll need support with all the basics: house-training, obedience, appropriate play, and socialization with new people, new environments, and other dogs. We strongly recommend working with a trainer and enrolling in puppy classes to help set him up for success. Puppies benefit most from consistent, fear-free training practices. Socialization is especially important: introduce your puppy to a variety of environments, people, and animals gradually, making sure each experience is positive and rewarding. Training should focus on positive reinforcement, using treats and praise to teach foundational cues like "sit," "stay," and "come." For house training, establish a predictable routine and reward successes; avoid punishment when accidents happen. Since puppies explore the world with their mouths, redirect nipping to appropriate chew toys and guide them gently. Moderate exercise, paired with mental enrichment, helps puppies burn energy and build confidence, while still protecting their developing joints. Above all, patience, consistency, and kindness will help your puppy feel safe, confident, and eager to learn. If Wakko sounds like the right pup for you, come meet him today!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
