Paulina is 1-2 years old. She was originally an unclaimed stray. She was pregnant when she first came to rescue but is now spayed and no more babies are in her future.

Paulina is sweet and wonderful with her people when she's had time to settle in. She can be a bit grumbly with change and transitions, so will do best where she can have a bit more consistency.

She does well co-existing with other cats once she has had time for appropriate cat introductions.

As part of our adoption process, we will check the vetting history of any past or current pets looking for regular history of annual exams and up to date vaccines and other care as recommended by the doctors. We will also check property ownership or verify landlord guidelines for a rental and complete a public records check for anyone over age 18 in the home.

Resident cats must show a history of a negative FeLV (feline leukemia test) on file while maintaining an indoor only status.

Paulina is spayed, microchipped, up to date on core vaccinations, FeLV/FIV tested.

Our volunteers do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
