Hi! I’m Bernie! I’m a 2-3 month mixed breed puppy, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE life! I came from a reservation, and am likely a mix of many breeds, but it would be super fun to do a DNA test on me!

I love food, toys, bones, cuddling, and especially playing with other dogs. I’m a happy, social little guy who is always ready to play, explore, or curl up with my people when it’s time for a nap.

For being such a young puppy, I’m already doing really well with my routine. At night and when my foster parents are gone, I sleep in a kennel/pen setup. I can usually make it about 3–4 hours before I whine to let them know I need to go outside. I’m still a baby, of course, so my new family will need to continue helping me with potty training and all of the other important puppy skills.

I’d love a family that’s ready for all the fun that comes with raising a puppy and will continue helping me learn and grow. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, cuddly little guy who approaches pretty much everything with enthusiasm, I might be the one for you!

Bernie is current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal tested, dewormed, microchipped and started on monthly preventatives. He will be neutered before he goes home later in September.

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
