Meet Boy George! Boy George is a charming Holland Lop who joined us in March 2026 after being surrendered by his family.

This sweet boy enjoys gentle pets and will happily soak up affection, though he prefers to keep all his feet on the ground rather than being picked up. Full of energy, Boy George thrives on human interaction and companionship. He will seek you out when he's ready for some love and attention. He's also quite the little interior designer-don't be surprised if his bowls, litter box, and toys are suddenly in new places, as he loves rearranging his space to match his latest vision. With all that energy, he'll need plenty of room to explore, hop, and binky to his heart's content. Mealtime is a highlight of his day-he's an enthusiastic eater who gets especially excited for his pellets and fresh salads, often standing up in anticipation the moment he knows food is coming. Boy George would do best with an experienced rabbit owner who understands bunny behavior and can appreciate his quirky, lovable personality. If you're looking for an energetic, affectionate bunny who will keep you smiling, Boy George might just be your perfect match!

As of April 26, 2026, Boy George is being treated for conjunctivitis, which we hope will smoothly and quickly resolve soon.

Neutered prior to SDHRS care.

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
